Ages 14 – 15
Leader in Training
The Leader In Training program is designed for campers ages 14 and 15. This program is designed to help young people work in cooperative groups and develop leadership skills. In addition, participants in this program are taught childcare skills, lesson planning, supervision, and camp programming. All LIT campers go home the morning of Saturday, August 3, 2024 and return the afternoon of Sunday, August 4, 2024 and go home the morning of Saturday, August 10, 2024 and return the afternoon of Sunday, August11, 2024. Many successful participants in this program are accepted to our Counselor In Training program the next season. Limited spots for the Leader In Training program are available starting in early January and applications are due by April 1, 2024.
LIT session dates:
Session 4: July 28, 2024 to August 3, 2024
All LIT campers go home the morning of Saturday, August 3, 2024 between session 4 and session 5 and return the afternoon of Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Session 5: August 4, 2024 to August 10, 2024
All LIT campers go home the morning of Saturday, August 10, 2024 between session 5 and session 6 and return the afternoon of Sunday, August 11, 2024.
Session 6: August 11, 2024 to August 17, 2024

Ages 15 – 16
Counselor in Training
The Counselor in Training program is designed for 15 and 16 year olds. This program is for campers who have an interest in applying to become counselors once they turn 16 years of age. One does not need to have gone through the Leader in Training program in order to be eligible for the Counselor In Training program, but it is strongly encouraged for their own benefit. All CIT campers will go home on the following Saturdays between sessions – Saturday July 6, 2024 and Saturday July 20, 2024. Applications for the Counselor In Training program are available starting in early January and are due by April 1, 2024. This program is designed for CITs to fine-tune all the skills that they learned in the Leader In Training program. They will be expected to run a full camp program along with running a class and will be evaluated on it.
CIT session dates:
Session 1: June 30, 2024 to July 6, 2024
All CIT campers go home on Saturday July 6, 2024 between session 1 and session 2
Session 2: July 7, 2024 to July 20, 2024
All CIT campers go home on Saturday July 20, 2024 between session 2 and session 3
Session 3: July 21, 2024 to July 27, 2024

As part of the Counselor In Training program...
There will be a lifeguard certification course, so all participants will have the opportunity to become a lifeguard. During the last week of the program, the whole group will go on an overnight canoe trip. Throughout the course of their program, they will be given constant feedback about how they are doing from the Counselor in Training Directors. At the end of the program, the participants who exhibited the most and best attributes of a counselor may be asked back for additional weeks of camp to continue to help out and take on more responsibility.
